Sam Jamsheedi, President of the Australian Saudi Business Council and Forum (ASBC/F), recently met with His Excellency Khalid Almudaifer, Vice Minister for Mining Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, during a visit to Riyadh following the Minister’s participation at IMARC in Australia.
The meeting centred on the upcoming 5th edition of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), a flagship global gathering held under the patronage of the Ministry. Over the past four years, FMF has experienced rapid growth, becoming a major platform that brings together government leaders, industry executives, and investors to advance the mining and minerals sector across Africa, Western and Central Asia.
This year’s Forum is expected to unlock significant new opportunities for Australian mining and resource companies—from junior explorers to METS providers—to play a meaningful role in Saudi Arabia’s evolving minerals strategy and contribute to the broader objectives of Vision 2030.
Sam Jamsheedi highlighted ASBC/F’s commitment to supporting stronger bilateral cooperation and facilitating deeper commercial engagement between both countries. He emphasized that promoting collaboration in the resources sector is central to strengthening economic ties and supporting long-term development goals.
The meeting underscores ASBC/F’s continued efforts to build strategic partnerships, promote investment pathways, and support initiatives that enhance cooperation between Australia and Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing mining ecosystem.
