Over the past week, the Australia Saudi Business Council and Forum (ASBC/F) had the privilege of supporting the largest ever Saudi health delegation to Australia, led by His Excellency Fahad AlJalajel, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The delegation included senior representatives from the Health Holding Company, National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO), and the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, who engaged with leading Australian stakeholders in Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney. Meetings with organisations such as St. John Ambulance Victoria, eClinic Victoria, Monash University, CSL, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and the University of New South Wales opened new opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
ASBC/F proudly hosted a high-level Roundtable with His Excellency, bringing together senior leaders to strengthen dialogue and explore new partnerships. The delegation also witnessed the signing of several strategic MOUs between Australian and Saudi stakeholders, solidifying cooperation in healthcare, research, and innovation.
This milestone visit was made possible with the support of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, Investment NSW, and Global Victoria. A special acknowledgement goes to Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner Todd Miller and Faisal Abdulhadi for their leadership in supporting Australian healthcare companies expanding into the Kingdom.
The ASBC/F remains committed to strengthening healthcare collaboration between Australia and Saudi Arabia, marking this visit as a significant step toward a healthier and more connected future for both nations.
