Australian and Saudi Leaders Lay Groundwork for Landmark Expo

Australian and Saudi leaders plan landmark Expo

The Australian Saudi Business Council and Forum (ASBC/F) had the honour of welcoming His Excellency Mark Donovan, Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, alongside Todd Miller, Austrade’s Trade and Investment Commissioner, Lauren Stasinowsky, First Secretary, and Abd Hakmi, Business Development Director for Energy, Mineral Resources, Infrastructure and Defence. Their visit was hosted by ASBC/F’s strategic partner, the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), under the leadership of His Excellency Suliman Almazroua.

NIDLP has played a vital role in fostering deep bilateral ties, particularly in sectors such as mining, advanced manufacturing, logistics, and technology—sectors that lie at the heart of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

This high-level engagement comes at a pivotal time, as preparations accelerate for the Aussie Expo Riyadh 2024, taking place on the 21st and 22nd of October. The Expo is set to highlight the strength of Australia–Saudi trade relations, showcasing innovation, cross-border investment, and government-to-government collaboration.

The event is designed not only to display Australian capabilities but to provide a strategic platform for thought leadership, partnership building, and sectoral dialogue. With the backing of both the Australian and Saudi governments, the Expo will further position both nations for long-term, sustainable economic success.

ASBC/F extends its appreciation to NIDLP and all partners for their continued support in shaping the future of bilateral business between Australia and Saudi Arabia.
