Laheq, Saudi Arabia’s first private residential island

Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced the launch of Laheq Island, Saudi Arabia’s first luxurious private residential island, situated within the pristine Red Sea archipelago. This marks the company’s first major residential development beyond Phase One of The Red Sea, which debuted in 2023 with five world-class resorts.

Set to open in 2028, Laheq Island will focus primarily on private residential ownership while also offering premium hospitality experiences and tailored services for both homeowners and visiting guests.

“Whether it’s for guests or residents who choose to own a piece of The Red Sea, Laheq offers luxury living within a vibrant resort-style community that brings people together and fosters long-lasting bonds,” said Red Sea Global CEO John Pagano.

Located along Saudi Arabia’s west coast, Laheq is part of an archipelago of 92 untouched islands. The site is surrounded by one of the world’s largest barrier reefs, home to over 2,000 rare and endemic marine species, offering residents and visitors a truly unique coastal environment.

Spanning 400 hectares, the island will feature a variety of recreational facilities, wellness spaces, and community-oriented amenities designed to deliver a high-end lifestyle immersed in nature.

As a wholly owned entity of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Red Sea Global is positioning the Red Sea region as one of the world’s leading luxury tourism and residential destinations, while contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for economic diversification and sustainable development.
