Official Launch of Aussie Expo Riyadh 2024 October 2024

ASBF participated in the celebration of the 94th National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hosted by the Saudi Consulate in Sydney. This event honoured the rich history and culture of the Kingdom and reinforced the growing bilateral relationship between Australia and Saudi Arabia. The inaugural Aussie Expo Riyadh 2024 marked a historic milestone in the Australia-Saudi trade relationship, as this was the first event of its kind to showcase Australian talent, innovation, and expertise in the heart of Saudi Arabia. The Expo was officially launched, building excitement for the two-day event held in October, which featured a dynamic program of keynote sessions, roundtable discussions, and high-impact networking opportunities. Held under the patronage of His Excellency Bandar Alkhorayef, the Expo welcomed over 1,000 attendees, including Australian and Saudi business leaders, government officials, and trade experts. The event highlighted Australia’s capabilities across key sectors such as technology, agriculture, education, and advanced manufacturing, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. KEY HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE EXPO: Keynote Sessions: Delivered by industry and government leaders, focusing on trade, investment, and innovation opportunities between the two nations. Embassy Dinner: To commence the Aussie Expo formalities, we had the pleasure of hosting all exhibitors, VIPs, and special guests for an exclusive Welcome Dinner at the Australian Embassy.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Future Form for sponsoring the event and to His Excellency Mark Donovan for his gracious hospitality. Roundtable Discussions: Facilitated meaningful dialogues between Australian and Saudi stakeholders to explore collaborative initiatives. Networking Opportunities: Brought together decision-makers, entrepreneurs, and investors to foster partnerships and drive bilateral economic growth. This groundbreaking event was the culmination of two years of collaboration between ASBF, the Australian government, and Saudi counterparts, led by ASBF President Sam Jamsheedi. More than 75 Australian companies participated, with representation from both private and public sectors, solidifying the Expo’s role as a catalyst for enhanced trade and investment. The success of the Aussie Expo Riyadh 2024 laid a strong foundation for future events, symbolising the shared commitment of both nations to forging deeper economic ties.
